The city of Pompeii was, in its day, a vacation spot for the wealthy Romans. The streets were made of these massive uneven stones which made walking a challenge. Most of the ruins looked similar, not to say that they were not impressive just some areas were better preserved than others. More specifically the building made for washing wool which had a pretty elaborate design. We read that urine was used in the cleaning process and was actually taxed and sold as a commodity. One of the coolest parts of the grounds was the olloseum/arena, not because of the mass bloodshed that took place before the volcano tore up the town, but according to our new friend Pink Floyd played a show there in the 70’s… Pretty sick right?
